From this young but authentic producer comes a small jewel of a Valpolicella: a good combination of red fruits and spices on the nose, and perfectly balanced on the palate.

This wine is all about fruit: laden with flavours of black cherry and bramble, with some subtle smoky notes in there too.          

Advocate, Languedoc 2011 (FR) – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot   21

Reminiscent of a good Bordeaux with warmer flavours. Aromas of black cherries and sweet bell pepper joined by more savoury notes such as smoky bacon and coffee on the palate.

This is a classic young Chianti: fresh and lively, unoaked,medium bodied and with a lovely fresh aftertaste.

This wine represents the producer's new focus on the lighter, traditional style of wines that used to be made in Montsant. An extremely gulp-able wine.

A juicy and fresh wine with cherries, berries, and exotic fruits. Notes of grilled meats and pepper add complexity and interest.

Sydhang, Muhr-Van der Niepoort 2011 (AUT) – Syrah   30

Aromas of blueberry, liquorice and violet are lifted by a peppery note. Focused, juicy and intense on the palate, with gentle tannins and lingering spiciness reminiscent of Côte-Rôtie.
